Tjarko Poiesz

Hi, I'm Tjarko – strength & conditioning coach, former operator of the Korps Commandotroepen (KCT) and founder of Project Spearhead.

The origin

Project Spearhead wasn't born from a business plan.

It was born from a question: what do you do with everything you've learned, seen and experienced, when you want to pass it on to people who can use it?

Because I believe people can do more when they know what they're working toward and prepare for it deliberately.

Not everyone has the same mission. Not everyone has the same circumstances. That's why there isn't one program that works for everyone.

What does work is a good system. Good coaching. And the willingness to keep getting better.

That's Project Spearhead.

Strength & Conditioning x Special Operations

At Project Spearhead, two worlds come together: proven strength & conditioning principles and the reality of people who have to perform under real conditions.

As an operator with the Korps Commandotroepen, I learned what performing under pressure really means. Fatigue, uncertainty, limited resources and circumstances you can't always control yourself.

But practice alone isn't enough. I also wanted to understand why certain methods work and how you can develop performance with intention. That's why I dove deeper into the science behind human performance with a Bachelor of Sports Studies and international certifications as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength & Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F).

  • 20+ years of experience in teaching and coaching
  • 7 years as an operator with the Korps Commandotroepen
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
  • Tactical Strength & Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F)
  • Bachelor of Sports Studies

This combination forms the basis of how I work: translating proven principles into practical preparation for people who want to perform when circumstances demand it.

Your mission, strategy and tactics

Most people start with tactics. They look for a program, a schedule or the next workout.

I start somewhere else.

Everyone has their own mission. A selection, a military operation, an expedition or a personal challenge. The key question is: what do you ultimately want to be able to do?

Once the mission is clear, we determine the strategy. That gives direction and structure to everything needed to get there.

Then come the tactics. The daily decisions we make to reach your goal.

This doesn't create a standard program, but a system that moves with your daily reality.

A system that works in the real world

Project Spearhead was born from the conviction that training should be more than a collection of workouts.

You need to know why you train. Have a plan to do this well and be able to adjust when your circumstances change.

If you understand why you do something, you'll ultimately be able to steer this process yourself.

That's why Project Spearhead consists of two ways to train.

Teams gives you access to a complete system of proven training programs. Choose the Team that fits your goal and train independently within that structure.

Mentorship goes a step further. There we build a mission, strategy and tactics tailored to your reality.
